Background:
Steyning Grammar School is a voluntary controlled, Church of England, co-educational community comprehensive school for pupils in the 11-19 age range with facilities for boarders. The school was founded in 1614 and occupy two sites in the village of Steying at the foot of the South Downs serving a large rural catchment area. Boarders come from all over the world. It is a Technology College specialising in maths, science, technology and ICT and for the second year in succession has been singled out by the DfES as a high achieving secondary school. The arts flourish there and their already extensive sporting facilities which include a dance studio will be enhanced by the completion of all weather pitch. Steyning Grammar School will be a place where all children and young people have the opportunity to enjoy healthy and safe lives and spiritual growth as confident, high achieving learners and valued contributors in their communities.
