Background:

St Peter's Church of England Primary School is a Voluntary Aided School with close links to St Peter's Church and Cowfold in the Diocese of Chichester. The original school was built in 1870 and was modernised with extensive additions in 1962 such as an additional classroom in 2001 and a new ICT suite was added in 2004. The building comprises a large hall, five carpeted classrooms, a small group room, ICT suite, library, cloakroom and a large foyer area. Recently built ICT suite comprises 16 computers and an interactive whiteboard with ceiling mounted projector. All computers are networked and have broadband via the LEA for speedy but filtered Internet access. There is a large hard surface play space and an extensive playing field complete with an outdoor heated swimming pool. Over the last year there have been clubs for art, banner making, textiles, dancing, drama, French and Spanish. It also provides sports activities such as athletics, cricket, football, judo, netball, rounders, running and tag-rugby. Some of these clubs have enabled children to take part in inter-school competitions and fixtures.
