Background:
Built in the late 1960's, the school's original building has now been modernised and extended to accommodate 14 classes. There is also a hall, used for PE, assemblies, music and school lunches, in addition to two playgrounds, a 'large' playing field, an indoor heated swimming pool and a 'modern' lending and reference library. Extra-curricular activities include football, cricket, netball, swimming, French, orchestra, choir and drama. Swimming is 'particularly successful' with the school gaining both local and national awards. It enjoys 'close' links with the local community, particularly with St Wilfrid's church and St Edward's parish, Keymer. A variety of charities is supported including Cafod, the Good Shepherd Appeal, St Anne's Hostel and the St Vincent de Paul Society.
