Background:

Opened in 1990, the school occupies a modern building in a predominantly owner-occupied residential area in the south of the town of East Grinstead and offers a hard play area, small field and conservation area in its grounds. Pupils have the opportunity to take part in a variety of extra-curricular activities including football, netball, cricket, basketball, rugby, drama, school choir and music groups, and can learn recorder, guitar, violin, flute and brass instruments. End of year musical productions have included Bugsy Malone and Oliver while sporting successes have included children representing the county is squash, tennis, soccer, rugby and canoeing. The school also organises sporting activities during the summer break. Children are encouraged to raise funds for charity, in addition to which the school sponsors two children in Third World countries. It has also raised funds to provide one of the school governors with a wheelchair in order to take part in the 2000 Paraplegic Olympic Games in Sydney.
