Background:
St Joseph's has a firm belief in maintaining the high standards of achievement and discipline that were established by the Sisters of Mercy who founded the school in 1919 and passed it on to the present governing body in 1989. Situated in the Haywords Heath town centre, the school is set in large, secluded grounds with many open spaces suitable for sport, environmental studies and play periods. The school'strives to achieve its aims of high academic standards combined with the faith aspect of our school community. This is achieved through a good partnership between governors, staff, children, parents and parish. Extra-curricular activities are extensive and include art, country dancing, cross-country running, netball and football. The school aims to provide a Catholic education promoting the academic, physical, spiritual and social development of each child.
