Background:
Edward Bryant School was built in 1968 and a new extension was added in 1994. In addition to 12 classrooms, there is a 'spacious' hall, a library, a resources room and a special needs base room. The school is set in 'extensive and attractive' grounds with a 'good' hard paved play area, adventure playground and environmental area. The curriculum is based on the programme of study of the national curriculum which ensures a 'broad and balanced curriculum for all'. The school runs a 'wide range' of extra-curricular activities including football and netball clubs, art, sewing, homework, dance and drama and environmental clubs. The school benefits from 'strong links' with the community, and local shops and businesses help with educational visits. The school encourages visits to local places of worship as well as supporting local charities.
