Background:

Lindfield Primary School was opened in September 2000 following the closure of separate infant and junior schools. The school comprises a new Key stage 2 wing with eight classrooms, music studio, ICT suite and special educational needs room. This is linked by a central rotunda to the former infant school, which was built in early 1970's. The Key Stage 1 wing has six classrooms, reception, management offices and staff room. The school curriculum cover the following subjects: English, mathematics, science, history, physical education, art and design, music, design and technology, information and communication technology, geography, religious education and collective worship. It has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including football, netball, cricket, rounders, art, cross-country, tennis, drama, recorder, chess, French, Spanish, athletics, cycling and general multi-sports sessions. The school participates in local events including village day and bonfire night as well as Haywards Citizenship Week and national commemorative occasions. The school aims to provide a warm welcoming secure environment for all children.
