Background:
Built in 1829, the school is central to the village of Findon. It has 'very good' grounds and sporting facilities including a swimming pool which is used by the local community as well as the children. Additional accommodation was added to the mainly Victorian building in 1970 and, in the last five years, two new classrooms have been added. Maths, English and science are 'particular curriculum strengths' of the school. It is proud of its 'very strong' PTA which raises funds for 'many extras the school could otherwise not afford'. A 'strong Christian ethos underpins all relationships within the school' and children raise substantial amount of money for charity every year.
