Background:
North Mundham School opened in 1875. The original Victorian building was refurbished and enlarged in 1989, the extension built in an 'imaginative and Victorian' style. A double mobile detached classroom was added in 1997. The school'serves a rural area and is on a site adjacent to the village playing field. It includes two hard-playing areas, an orchard and a 'considreable area' of natural woodland. There is a 'good range' of extra-curricular activities and all pupils are encouraged to participate. Sports matches are played against local schools and links with the local community are 'very strong'.
